    Smart ForSpeed To Geneva Debut

Not all upcoming model from Smart will be vanished (not reaching the production phase). One of their product which has managed to enter the production stage is the all electric version without roof, the Smart ForTwo, for Geneva Motor Show. This concept of Forspeed looks pretty much the same with Smart Speedster that we see some weeks ago.

Overall, the car features Smart Crossblade which was only made in limited numbers in early 2000s. To bring more assurance that this Forspeed is a pure concept, it has an interesting taillights. You will see no external door handles like in the picture above. As the car has no roof, there is a toneau cover that can be a coating for the interior or only for the passenger side if the weather is rainy.

The 41 horsepower electirc motor from the Forspeed can run for 37 miles per hour in only 5.5 seconds, and reach the top speed of 75 mph. It is not a speedy car, but the boost button that you see on the dash will be able to offer seven ponies. The ED part of the ‘ForspeED’ refers to Electric Drive powertrain that you also saw in the Fortwo ED. But at least this car is able to reach that 37 mph 1 second faster than the Fortwo.
