A new poster is out for Henry’s Crime. The film is directed by Malcolm Venville who previously directed 44 Inch Chest, one of the writers Sacha Gervasi (The Big Tease, The Terminal) and it stars Keanu Reeves, Vera Farminga, James Caan, Peter Stormare, Judy Greer, Fisher Stevens, and Bill Duke.

Henry’s Crime tells the story of Henry Reeves) who finds himself dragged unwillingly into a bank robbery. The robbery goes wrong, Henry takes the fall, goes to jail, and then works out his own heist after he gets out in order to rob the bank. “I’ve done the time,” he says, “I might as well do the crime.”

Someone has not quite explained the concept of Double Jeopardy to Henry. Going to prison for trying to do a crime does not give you free rein to do the crime properly once you get out. It actually just means that the clues are worth twice as many dollars.

Caan joins Reeves on the heist as they must infiltrate the theater next door to the bank because of some tunnel hand waving or some such. Really it happens so that Keanu can fall in love with Farminga while wearing a terrible fake goatee. Also it gives us the great meta humor that Keanu Reeves plays a character forced to act. That’s gold.
